We Shall Be Like Him
As God’s ambassador on earth, we must avoid the unscriptural things ungodly people do to ‘enjoy’ themselves in this life. Some of them are the very things that expedite their physical death goading them to hell being unprepared for heaven.
The life of a saint does not consist in the abundance of the things he or she possesses. The life of a Christian does not depend on the things he or she enjoys in this life. Deceitful pleasures have the capacity for polluting heaven-bound children of God.
The hope of every pilgrim is to be like Jesus Christ by being married to Him eternally.
“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 Jn 3:1-3).
