THOSE EXCLUDED FROM HEAVEN Part 1

THOSE EXCLUDED FROM HEAVEN Part 1

Although Jesus came into the world to seek and save the lost, not everybody can be saved. God gave mankind volition, that is freewill to choose to do good or evil, but the Scriptures conclude the man God created is more inclined to do evil than to do good.

“Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.  So the LORD said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.’”  (Gen 6:5-7 NKJV)

Those who line up their lives with Christ are bestowed with eternal life and those who refuse to accept the freely-given substitutionary work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary will spend eternity with Satan and his fallen angels and demons for eternity.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; who can know it?  I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”  (Jer 17:9-10 NKJV)

Living People Who Cannot Be Saved

 Sinners

The number one reason for going to hell is the sin of unbelief, which is a rejection of the truth. Jesus is the Truth. The following people have no chance of making it to Heaven: the sinner who dies without repenting, the sinner or saint who takes the mark of the Beast during the seven-year Tribulation Period and the sinner who is destroyed at the Great Day of the Lord, the judgment of the nations, after the Battle of Armageddon.

Unbelievers

Who are unbelievers? Old Testament prophets described them as children of belial; epitomes of wickedness and ungodliness.

John the Baptist described them as brood of vipers.

Jesus called them hypocrites, children of the devil.

Paul said unbelievers are darkness.

Peter described the unrighteous as servants of corruption with eyes full of adultery; dogs.

For James sinners are adulterers and adulteresses, enemies of God.

John the Beloved calls them lovers of the world; enemies of God; sinners with the devil.

Jude was incisive in his description: (Jude 8-23) he called them filthy dreamers, brute beasts, clouds without water, trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever; ungodly sinners, grumblers, complainers, lustful, mockers and scoffers, sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit but are already in the fires of hell.

Backslidden Christians

Apostate Christians cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Apostasy does not happen suddenly. It starts with a besetting sin.  If unchecked, it develops into an obsession and progressively becomes hardness of heart.  By the time it graduates to the possession stage, it becomes difficult to retract.

Fortunately, few people allow themselves to get to this damming stage. According to Kenneth Hagin in The Triumphant Church page 110 “The sin of rejecting Jesus Christ can happen in two ways: People can hear the gospel preached and reject Jesus and just keep on rejecting Him. After a while the Holy Spirit won’t deal with them anymore about receiving Jesus as their Savior (Gen 6:3), and those people will spend eternity in hell when they die. The other way people can reject Jesus is if mature believers wilfully and deliberately reject Him.”
