MONEY AND CORRUPTION
Money is the currency of corruption.
There is a huge volume of blood money currently in circulation. Some of it has been given to churches as donations, behests, tithes and thanksgiving offerings. Some pastors may think that is a sign of being in the will of God.
Uzzah was a good man. He wanted to help God contrary to the commandment not to touch the ark of the Lord.
Sometimes it can be dangerous trying to help God do what He has put under His own authority. The self-sufficient God has said: “I will build my church.” We cannot build the church; it is the Lord’s prerogative.
His commandment to us is to preach the gospel and make disciples of those who believe. Nothing more, nothing less.
Servants of God are urged to keep themselves pure. One way of doing that is to avoid partaking in other men’s sins.
Brethren, take heed that you do not get involved with the activities of evil doers especially when wrapped in beautiful packages. They may look nice on the surface but are very deceptive for the undiscerning.
“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: for he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” (2 Jn 1:9-11 KJV)
