Expectation of Rapture
There are several scriptures that exhort us to be in expectation of the return of the Lord. Jesus said no one knows the day and hour of His coming hence the need for watchfulness.
The lifestyle of followers of Christ should reflect expectation of the return of the Lord. Church rapture, which is imminent, will not come to every believer as a surprise. “Be ready” is the Lord’s command. Therefore, orientation on life and living must focus on daily desire for the return of Jesus.
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. (Phil 3:20-21)
